I was just wondering if this gate opens on either side or if you must lift it to remove it to get through?

Thanks for the question Tabitha87. At the top of the gate there is a slide handle that is slide back to unlock the gate, you lift it up slightly and then the gate can go either direction.

Hi Christin, At the top of the gate there is a slide handle that is slide back to unlock the gate, you lift it up slightly and then the gate can swing in either direction.

Question
good for molding
There is molding along the bottom where the walls connect to the floor in my house. Its the wider crown molding. Can I use this gate with the molding? It looks like the top and bottom can be adjusted differently.
