I bought it last year and left it up in really high winds, and hard rain. It was put over a easyset swimming pool as protection from the sun and it was "GREAT"! but the only bad thing is don't use the tie down ropes that it came with, because the sun will disintegrate the rope because of heat. It was alittle to put together. alittle rain comes though, but it does not grow mold on it. But you will need to buy ropes at your local hardware store.

It can be left up in the rain, but anything that it not directly under the center will be wet.
